About the campaign

The Virtual Apple Tree Campaign is a campaign to increase awareness about Bemidji area child food insecurity and hunger and help raise funds to support United Way's Backpack Buddies program.

You can participate in the Virtual Apple Tree Campaign by purchasing apples beginning in June 2012 through August 2012 to support the program during the 2012-13 school year or you can support the Backpack Buddies program today by linking here.

THE VIRTUAL APPLE TREE CAMPAIGN HAS CLOSED. It will reopen in June 2012. Thanks to everyone who contributed by purchasing an apple. We raised $5840.00 for the Backpack Buddies program and received a matching grant of $5000 from the Bemidji Jaycees, for a grand total of $10,840!
